Ingredients:
1 cup of fresh basil (can add more if desired)
1 cup of broccoli sprouts (can add more if desired)
3/4 cup of organic extra virgin olive oil
1/ 3 cup of ground pecans (or other nut)
1-2 garlic gloves minced
salt and pepper to taste
extra flavor: add lemon juice or vinegar or extra garlic
Instructions:
1. Combine olive oil and fresh herbs in a jar that has a wide mouth
2. Use an immersion blender to combine the herbs and olive oil until the herbs are broken down to a very smooth and creamy texture.
3. Stir in ground nuts, garlic and salt and pepper
4. Taste your pesto and see what you think! I usually play around with the taste a little bit, but this is a good base pesto recipe
